Dr. Emily Tuttle will be visiting LC and give a talk during Professor Carolyn Ford's 1:10pm class and will be discussing the centuries-long representation and valuing of applied arts, our tactile relationship to functional works, and how art is in fact part of our day-to-day lives, even if we are not frequent gallery and museum attendees. Her current research focuses on the interdisciplinary approaches to everyday life and aims to encourage an equal recognition of documentary evidence that are indicative cultural constructs preserved in the domestic sphere.
